Who are you?
IpodUpgrade.net is part of BraunOni V.O.F.. BraunOni consists of two students of the University of Twente: Jurriλn Kok and Chris van Baal. We are registered at 'Kamer van Koophandel' (Dutch Governmental Trade organization) by number 08129450. If you any have questions that aren't answered in this section, you can always contact us by mail.
When will I receive my order?
When products are in stock we strive to ship out orders the same business day when payment is arrived before 4 p.m. International banking transactions can take up to 1 or 2 weeks to come trough. Successful PayPal payments are arrived instantly (and often shipped out the same day).
I'm not very technical. Can you replace my battery?
Yes, that's possible. We strongly advice you to use our service if you doubt your replacement capabilities. We think that anyone who is handy can replace an iPod battery (we can, and we are not extremely technical, just handy). We do not want to cause any damages, so you really should feel comfortable in replacing the battery yourself and otherwise just let us do it for you. The cost for the replacement service is 18.99. You can add these services to your shopping cart. Replacement service can be found under 'Services' on the Products page. We will return you iPod by means of Insured Mail only, so you have to choose 'insured (international)' as shipping method.

The advantage of a PayPal payment is that it is transferred directly and that it is easy for international transactions. This means that IpodUpgrade.net doesn't have to wait days for a payment before sending your products. PayPal does not require you to register with them and they offer their service to you for free. Why don't you offer credit card payment on IpodUpgrade.net?
Actually we do offer the possibility of credit card payments. We provide credit card payment trough Paypal, which is a highly respected payment service provider offering their eCash services in 54 countries around the world. They provide buyer protection so that customers don't have to worry about fraudulent companies. Offering Credit Card directly on our site actually seems less trustworthy too many people and it would also cost us too much in fees.
Do I have to pay shipping costs?
We offer free priority shipping all throughout the world. It is also possible to pick up our products in Enschede, The Netherlands. We offer three shipping methods in The Netherlands:
Standard: shipping is free.
Pay on Delivery: If you choose this method, shipping costs are 15.
Insured: Do you want the product shipped insured? Then the shipping costs are 12.5.
For international orders the shipping methods are:
International Priority: free.
International Insured: Do you want the product shipped insured? Then the shipping costs are 12.5.
Do I lose my warranty once my iPod has been opened?
The Apple iPod comes with one year of warranty. If your iPod performance drops drastically within this period, you can contact Apple for service without costs. If you, or IpodUpgrade.net opens your iPod in the first year, your warranty will expire. IpodUpgrade.net offers a standard six months warranty on your battery.
What is the capacity for IpodUpgrade.net batteries?
How much extra capacity you get depends on your generation's iPod and the battery you buy with us. You need to look at 3 things:
1. The playing time of your current iPod battery when it was new
2. The capacity of your current battery
3. The capacity of the battery you are going to buy
If the capacity of your current battery would be 500 mAh, and you now buy a 1000 mAh new battery, this means that you double your iPod's battery capacity, which means that you double your playing time. Also take into account that your current battery is likely to be worn out and that the capacity is doubled compared to when your iPod was brand new! So if your iPod played 10 hours with a fully charged battery when it was new, it will play 20 hours of music when you double the battery's capacity. The lifespan (in hours of total usage) for your new IpodUpgrade.net battery will also be an equal factor bigger than the original iPod battery.
For which iPod models does IpodUpgrade.net sell upgrade batteries?
We sell batteries for all iPod models. iPod 1, 2, 3 and 4G. iPod Photo, U2. iPod Mini 1 and 2G.
Can I easily replace my iPod's battery?
The batteries come with a plastic tool to open the iPod without damaging it. Instruction manuals and videos are available trough our website when you click on the product details of a product. The iPod Mini comes without tools, because the replacement process should be done with a flat screw driver. IpodUpgrade.net stresses that replacing a battery is a delicate activity and we are not responsible for any damage you conflict on your iPod while replacing the battery yourself. IpodUpgrade.net offers the service to replace your battery (available for everyone in Europe), so you don't have to worry about damaging your iPod.
